Established in 2019 by Chris Crawford in New York. TART is a raw vinegar project that partners with farmers who practice regenerative agriculture to make something that tastes exceptional and is thoughtful. Factory life is good. We are located in the Navy Yard in Brooklyn. We ferment everything in 4 gallon batches and monitor the pH and acid and flavor until the moment of “oh shit this is so good”. We ship everything ourselves and it is all biodegradable blah blah blah, even our colorful corks are made from renewable plant based materials that can be recycled. Everything is shipped ground (slow). Just a reminder WE ARE NOT AMAZONG :) The vinegar is raw and alive so after opening you want to store it in the fridge to ensure the intended flavor. We intentionally leave the vinegar unfiltered so remember to give it a good shake before each use. Used to enhance the flavor of dark leafy greens, raw oysters, beets, or whatever you love to put in your mouth. It adds brightness and minerals to soups, sauces, and salad dressings. Add to water or booze warm or chilled. Works great in a lot of recipes that call for vinegar or lemon juice. Have fun. Original label created by the talented and handsome Rob Moss Wilson.
